Duluth is located at the westernmost tip of Lake Superior, the largest freshwater lake in the world, and is halfway between Minneapolis/St.Paul and the Canadian border. The 30-mile (66km) long North Shore Scenic Drive offers amazing views of the Superior National Forest on one side and Lake Superior on the other.
